About the Role

We are seeking winter co-ops across several Administrative Assistant roles to join the Wealth Management team. RBC Wealth Management provides students the opportunity to gain in-depth, hands-on experience while working and learning alongside our experienced professionals. As part of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for assisting Investment Counsellors or Investment Advisors and other members of the team provide exceptional client experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare meetings for Advisors with their clients/prospects.
  • Provide proactive client service with a focus on problem resolution and attention to detail.
  • Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary.
  • Assist the Advisor team with client onboarding and maintenance of existing client accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of all necessary documentation in compliance with internal controls and industry regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date client files within appropriate systems.
  • Support Advisor team and client through the Wealth Management process and maintain audit of Wealth Management Activities and priorities.
  • Stay current with all RBC Policies & Procedures
  • Provide support on assigned projects, conducting research, and sharing information with the team.
  • Answering basic inquiries and resolving routine problems regarding products and services via calls, email, or internet chat.
  • Ensure trades are processed accurately and on a timely basis
  • Manage all aspects of account opening and documentation and maintain client cash flows and balances

Requirements

  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • High level of time management and organization skills
  • Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • To be eligible for these student positions, you must either: Be returning to school after the work term end-date; or If you are not returning to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component to graduate successfully
