About the Role

DXC Technology is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the business operations of a world-class IT services provider. In this role, you will act as a business partner for all financial aspects of your assigned clients, including budget and forecast management. You will serve as a point of contact for sales and delivery IT engineers, supporting their decision-making processes. By analyzing client financials, you will gain exposure to business unit and executive decision-making, enhancing your management accounting skills. This position offers opportunities to acquire extensive knowledge and experience through guidance from managers and senior colleagues, as well as hands-on practice, making it suitable for individuals with less experience who are willing to make a diligent effort.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the team to create monthly forecasts, develop next year's budget, and drive strategic planning.
Manage the impact of sales, revenue, and expenses, and analyze and report on variances against monthly forecasts.
Identify Risks & Opportunities, monitor execution against forecasts and budgets, and escalate issues in a timely manner.
Promote initiatives to mitigate profit decline and reduce costs.
Participate in various projects and tasks, providing advice based on financial analysis.
Perform management accounting tasks in accordance with corporate management accounting standards and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Manage the balance sheet, including fixed assets, revenue accruals/deferrals, cost accruals/deferrals, and accounts receivable.
Collaborate with specialists in various fields, such as revenue recognition, tax, cash collection, and SOX compliance.
Become a trusted advisor to sales and delivery IT engineers.
Maintain timely communication and cooperation with accounting personnel.

Requirements

Accounting knowledge equivalent to Bookkeeping Level 3 or practical accounting experience (preferred).
High communication skills in Japanese (required).
Communication skills in English (preferred).
Proficiency in Excel (Sumif, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
Willingness to collaborate with colleagues outside the finance department to solve business challenges and improve operations.
High ethical standards.
Proactive and self-starter attitude.
Curiosity and a willingness to learn.
Ability to work under pressure.
