About the Role
This Senior Consultant opportunity supports Deloitte's Strategy, Risk & Transactions business by helping leaders make smart, commercially grounded workforce decisions that drive client outcomes and career growth. You will match capability to high-priority work across growth, M&A, AI, productivity, and strategic risk.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with partners, directors, and managers to plan workforce deployment across assigned portfolios, balancing demand, capability, utilisation, and development needs.
- Identify risks early, resolve scheduling conflicts, and recommend practical resourcing solutions.
- Utilize workforce data (utilisation, availability, capability gaps, pipeline trends) to create reporting and insights for leaders.
- Improve workforce planning using AI, analytics, and digital tools.
- Contribute to capability planning, mobility, and development conversations.
- Support fair and balanced deployment decisions.
- Improve systems, reporting, and ways of working within the Workforce Management team.
Requirements
- Experience in workforce planning, resource management, deployment, or a similar business operations role.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance client needs, business priorities, and people outcomes.
- Confidence building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and influencing practical decisions.
- Experience analyzing workforce data and translating it into clear insights, reporting, and recommendations.
- Strong digital capability, including workforce systems, Microsoft Office, and intermediate Excel skills.
- Ability to work through ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Good judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Experience coaching junior team members or contributing to continuous improvement initiatives is valued.
