About the Role

Serve as the strategic HR partner to business leaders for the Japan & Korea Commercial business, driving the people agenda and organizational effectiveness in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact and sparring partner for leaders on all people matters.
  • Drive the delivery of the annual People Cycle, including performance management, employee engagement, compensation, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including employee exits, ensuring compliance with Japanese labor laws and mitigating legal and business risks.
  • Collaborate with HR professionals and specialists in People Advisory, Centers of Excellence, and Global Mobility teams.
  • Partner with and coach leaders on corporate/COE driven people-related initiatives and programs.
  • Participate in recruitment for assigned business functions as needed.
  • Provide market insights on the talent landscape, hiring market, and employment trends across Japan and South Korea to support talent acquisition, workforce planning, and retention strategies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of HRBP experience (flexible for exceptional candidates).
  • Strong Employee Relations (ER) and labor law expertise.
  • Experience supporting both Japan and Korea organizations is a plus.
  • Strong stakeholder management, coaching, and change management capabilities.
  • Ability to navigate a matrix organization.
  • Result-driven with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese & English.
