About the Role
This role offers practical legal experience for a law student within Australia's largest specialist personal injury law firm, Law Partners. You will gain hands-on experience supporting solicitors in the CTP practice, providing valuable insight into personal injury claims.
Responsibilities
- Arranging medical appointments and managing client diaries
- Drafting correspondence and other legal documentation
- Reviewing client files and contacting clients to obtain instructions
- Assisting with drafting client statements
- Drafting applications on behalf of clients to the Personal Injury Commission
- Preparing submissions in relation to medical disputes
- Drafting letters of instruction to medical practitioners
- Supporting solicitors with file management and general administrative tasks
- Collaborating with various solicitors across the CTP practice
Requirements
- Current tertiary study in Law
- A genuine interest in personal injury law
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence communicating with clients professionally and empathetically
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Previous legal administration, clerk or paralegal experience is advantageous but not essential
