About the Role

This is a large-scale transformation project aimed at business process re-engineering and system efficiency improvement for clients in the insurance industry. Within an agile development environment, this role ensures system quality through Sprint Testing, Integration Testing, and Regression Testing, supporting the realization of business transformation.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans, design test cases, and prepare test data.
• Execute tests for functional and non-functional requirements and record results.
• Detect, report, and track defects, and promote resolution with the development team.
• Conduct Sprint Testing, Integration Testing, and Regression Testing.
• Perform integration testing for APIs and system interfaces.
• Visualize test progress, issues, and risks, and report to stakeholders.
• Promote improvement activities such as quality enhancement, test efficiency, and DevOps automation.
• Mentor junior members and manage tasks.
• Participate in various ceremonies within Agile development.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA leads.

Requirements

• Practical experience in SDLC/STLC within the insurance (life/non-life) or financial industry.
• 5 to 12 years of practical experience in test projects.
• Experience in testing within an Agile development environment and collaborating with distributed teams.
• Advanced business proficiency in Japanese and English (able to independently conduct meetings, presentations, and negotiations with clients and internal stakeholders).

Skills

• Test automation using Selenium, Playwright, SoapUI, Postman, etc.
• Test data management using GenRocket, etc.
• Database testing using SQL.
• Knowledge or practical experience in CI/CD environments.
• Knowledge of GDPR.
• Experience as a test lead or in member development.
