About the Role
The NSW Police Band (a Wind Orchestra) has an opportunity for a Band Member (Tuba) to contribute to the positive promotion of the NSWPF through community engagement. This role attracts a 'Doubling' allowance for playing a second instrument as required. The successful applicant must hold a current and valid Working With Children's check.
Responsibilities
- Performing as a musician in the NSW Police Band and its various ensembles.
- Contributing to the positive promotion of the NSWPF through community engagement.
- Performing in a variety of settings including less than desirable outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
- Working collaboratively within a large and diverse musical team.
- Potentially playing a second instrument as required.
Requirements
- Must hold a current and valid Working With Children's check.
- Must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen.
- Must undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check prior to commencement.
- Must obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by the NSW Police Force.
- Must have the capacity to meet key challenges of the role, including performing in varied outdoor environments and weather conditions, and prolonged periods of standing and marching.
- Must be able to work collaboratively within a large and diverse musical team.
- Must demonstrate life and workplace experiences adaptable to meet key non-musical challenges.
- Must outline additional skills, experience, and/or qualifications that can contribute to the ongoing success of the band (e.g., arranging, composing, recording/sound skills).
