About the Role
As People & Culture Associate, you will play an important enablement role within the PCT People & Culture team, supporting leaders and employees across HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, learning activity, and day-to-day people support. This is a broad role suited to someone who enjoys variety, detail, and working closely with the business. You will help keep key HR processes running smoothly, support Workday activity, maintain accurate records, and contribute to projects and people initiatives across PCT.
Responsibilities
- Support employee lifecycle processes including recruitment, onboarding, job changes, compensation, WHS, performance management and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate HR records and employee files, ensuring documents are complete, compliant and correctly filed.
- Administer background screening and help maintain the visa sponsorship program.
- Provide practical guidance to people leaders and employees on people processes and Workday activity.
- Support improvements to HR processes, procedures, systems and communication channels.
- Coordinate employee experience and learning activity, including surveys, induction, leadership programs and wellbeing events.
- Work collaboratively across the PCT People & Culture team, providing support across HR operations, business partnering, learning and talent acquisition when needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in HR, people services, talent acquisition, learning or HR operations is essential.
- An understanding of relevant HR policies and legislation.
- Workday experience would be advantageous.
- A strong customer service mindset and the ability to support leaders and employees with care and accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail, with confidence managing records, documents and process steps.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to prioritise work based on business need and impact.
- Strong relationship management skills and a collaborative working style.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to identify issues, suggest improvements and follow through.
- The ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and know when to seek guidance or escalate.
