About the Role

Hydro One is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for a role that supports various engagement activities within the Indigenous Relations team. This role is crucial for advancing Hydro One's efforts in building relationships with Indigenous communities and ensuring effective project engagement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the IR team to support engagement activities, including project engagement plans, regulatory materials, consultation logs, and budgets.
• Assist in implementing policies, standardized processes, and approaches for Indigenous Relations.
• Research and draft documentation to support policy development and engagements.
• Provide support for meeting minutes, consultation records, and community profiles.
• Monitor and report on the implementation of the IR strategy and project plans.
• Coordinate invoice review, payment processing, budget tracking, and data compilation for IR team reports.
• Contribute to organizing engagement activities, both internal and external.
• Support Hydro One's participation in external organizations related to Indigenous Relations.
• Assist in building relationships with Indigenous communities by representing the company.
• Support the resolution of IR issues with Hydro One projects, operations, and policies.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Requires knowledge of business administration, Indigenous studies, or Environmental studies.
• Requires a good knowledge of English for documentation and communication.
• Requires experience with Indigenous communities.
• Requires experience in preparing material for publication, documentation, or other program activities.
• Requires an understanding of Indigenous issues, provincial and federal policies.
• Requires familiarity with the organization, business unit responsibilities, and contacts in serviced areas.
• Requires familiarity with work programs.
