About the Role

PwC Australia's Cybersecurity & Privacy team is seeking an experienced Penetration Tester to join their Offensive Security capability. This role involves delivering technical red team, purple team, and penetration testing services to leading Australian organizations, contributing to the development of next-generation methodologies and technical capabilities in an AI-enabled future.

Responsibilities

  • Performing Red Teaming and/or Purple teaming activities to test the effectiveness of cybersecurity controls.
  • Conducting and leading penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in applications, systems, and networks.
  • Leading the "day-to-day" technical direction and client stakeholder updates.
  • Driving technical excellence within the team.
  • Delivering management and detailed technical reporting with pragmatic recommendations.
  • Contributing to presentations and debriefs to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Optimizing collaboration and knowledge sharing with Offensive Security specialists globally.
  • Developing internal tools and procedures to optimize delivery and increase impact.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience delivering Red Team engagements for leading organizations.
  • Experience working across a variety of client technology environments.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience, including technical coaching to junior team members.
  • Strong communication skills, including writing and conveying complex red team and penetration testing narratives for various audiences.
  • Experience working across a variety of offensive security engagement types (red teaming, purple teaming, penetration testing).
  • Possession of advanced industry certifications such as OSCP, OSEP, OSED, CRTP, CRTO, GXPN, or CREST CCT INF / CCT APP.

Salary/Compensations

  • The minimum salary for a Senior Associate in this role is AUD 89,000 including superannuation. Higher grades will receive a salary range above this in line with the salary bands for these positions.
