About the Role
Ascenda Logistics Inc. is seeking motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individuals passionate about serving their community on foot. Join our Brooklyn team as a Delivery Associate - Walker and play a crucial role in ensuring orders are delivered promptly and accurately within the community.
Responsibilities
- Safely navigate walking routes, adhering to traffic and pedestrian laws, and company safety policies.
- Deliver packages efficiently and on time within a designated 5-10 block radius.
- Work in and deliver in all weather conditions.
- Provide exceptional customer service with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Utilize smartphone devices for navigation, scanning, routing, and administrative tasks.
- Adapt to the demands of a dynamic and physically challenging role.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must hold a valid, non-expired State ID or Driver’s License (IDNYC cards are NOT acceptable).
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to communicate well.
- Must be able to move packages up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
- Must be customer oriented with a ‘Safety-Always’ mindset.
- Must be available and willing to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
