About the Role

Condé Nast Traveller is seeking a creative and culturally attuned acting digital features editor to shape ambitious, agenda-setting editorial across our digital platforms. Working closely with the digital director, digital editor and wider editorial team, the digital features editor will commission, edit and write original features that capture the online zeitgeist while remaining true to Condé Nast Traveller's authority and distinctive voice.

Responsibilities

  • Pitch, commission, write and edit outstanding digital features across all platforms
  • Generate culturally relevant, conversation-driving editorial ideas and manage a busy commissioning schedule
  • Develop original digital franchises and editorial packages that strengthen the brand's authority and drive audience growth
  • Oversee key editorial verticals, ensuring content is timely, authoritative, diverse and commercially aware
  • Build and nurture an exceptional network of writers and industry experts
  • Edit and sub-edit copy to the highest editorial standards while maintaining Condé Nast Traveller's distinctive voice and tone
  • Work closely with the Social Media Manager and Video Editor to develop cross-platform storytelling opportunities
  • Support ecommerce and affiliate content opportunities where editorially appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with global Condé Nast Traveller editorial teams to develop international packages, share best practice and contribute to global editorial initiatives
  • Act as an ambassador for Condé Nast Traveller, representing the brand while cultivating relationships across the travel and hospitality industries

Requirements

  • Significant experience in a digital editorial role, ideally within travel, lifestyle or culture
  • A demonstrable track record of commissioning and editing high-performing digital journalism with a strong editorial point of view, and a strong network of freelance writers and contributors
  • An instinct for identifying cultural conversations, emerging travel behaviours and meaningful trends before they reach the mainstream.
  • A deep understanding of Condé Nast Traveller's brand, audience and editorial vision
  • Experience creating content that performs across multiple channels
  • Strong understanding of digital analytics and the ability to translate performance insights into editorial strategy
  • Experience using content management systems and digital publishing tools
  • Experience working with commercial, affiliate and branded content while maintaining editorial integrity
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • A genuine passion for travel and a broad curiosity about the people, places, food, design and cultural movements shaping the way the world travels today.
