About the Role
Fortaegis is a fast-scaling, highly ambitious, and cutting-edge semiconductor company seeking a Product Engineer to serve as the technical liaison between customers and engineering teams. This role ensures Fortaegis products meet customer requirements, performance expectations, and market needs. The ideal candidate possesses an exceptional skillset and mindset, ready to contribute to an outstanding team.
Responsibilities
- Capture requirements from Japanese customers and translate them into product specifications and engineering requirements (product definition).
- Feed customer and market input into the product roadmap, and help prioritize features for the Japan market.
- Design, review, and validate system architectures across software, hardware, networking, and security.
- Support product validation, performance testing, and interoperability testing.
- Identify gaps between customer expectations and product capabilities, and drive resolution with the engineering team.
- Prepare technical specifications, PRDs, and technical whitepapers.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of networking, encryption, cybersecurity, secure communications, hardware security, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Ability to translate customer requirements into technical specifications and engineering requirements.
- Experience designing, reviewing, or validating complex system architectures involving software, hardware, networking, or security technologies.
- Comfortable discussing technical requirements directly with customers, technical architects, and engineering teams.
- Ability to identify gaps between customer expectations and product capabilities and drive resolution.
- Experience supporting product validation, performance testing, interoperability testing, or proof-of-concept activities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both customer-facing and engineering-facing environments.
