About the Role

Investigate, evaluate, and resolve claims made against the company’s insurance policies in relation to Casualty, Professional Indemnity and Healthcare in Australia with potential for additional scope in APAC. Engage in collaborative projects supporting underwriting, finance, accounting, actuarial, operations, and technology. Provide superior service to all customers.

Responsibilities

• Review allocated cases and achieve settlement within designated personal authority level, in line with established standards, procedures and guidance.
• Identify non-standard or complex claims and escalate to supervisor.
• Conduct pro-active settlement through negotiation, mediation, global settlement or litigation and escalate to supervisor when necessary.
• Identify suspicious/fraudulent claims and escalate to supervisor.
• Manage customer interactions efficiently, courteously, and timely to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Organize and utilize approved internal and/or external suppliers to provide appropriate and timely services to customers.
• Support more experienced colleagues in handling non-standard cases.
• Assist in the preparation of reports or analysis.
• Provide administrative support as required.
• Ensure compliance with all internal and external legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.

Requirements

• Relevant academic qualifications (“A” level or diploma graduates), OR Law graduate.
• Minimum 4 years' solid working experience in Casualty, Professional Indemnity and / or Healthcare claims, OR Law graduate with experience of 3rd party claims.
• Certificate of General Insurance (“CGI”)/ANZII or ACII / Law Degree.
• Be a team player and able to work independently and under pressure.
• Possess good interpersonal skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
• Confident and persuasive in communicating with clients and claimants.
