About the Role
We are seeking high-performing Investment Banking Associates with strong transaction execution experience for our M&A practice. Successful candidates will work on complex, high-profile transactions, partnering with senior bankers, clients, and other market participants.
Responsibilities
- Execute M&A and strategic advisory transactions across Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models and valuation analyses.
- Prepare client presentations, strategic reviews, pitch materials, and transaction documentation.
- Manage day-to-day execution workstreams with clients, lawyers, accountants, and other advisers.
- Review and oversee the work product of Analysts, providing guidance on modelling and analytical assignments.
- Support senior bankers in business development and client relationship management.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality work products within demanding timeframes.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of relevant investment banking experience, preferably within M&A, Natural Resources, or an industry coverage group with substantial transaction exposure.
- Demonstrated experience executing complex M&A, strategic advisory, and/or capital markets transactions.
- Advanced financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting, corporate finance, and financial statement analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation development and client-facing materials.
