About the Role
This role focuses on providing advanced-level digital architecture solutions, including control systems, automation, and software coding. Responsibilities include installation, testing, commissioning, and advanced support for digital solutions, as well as workshop and field repairs of components. The role also involves investigating RMA's, writing technical reports, and ensuring accurate reporting and equipment functionality. Additionally, it requires identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and adhering to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced-level digital architecture solutions ranging from control systems, automation systems, to software coding.
- Perform advanced-level installation, testing, and commissioning of digital solutions.
- Handle advanced support requests for warranty inspections, rectification, and fine-tuning.
- Conduct workshop testing of control systems (PPC).
- Perform workshop repair of failed or damaged components.
- Perform field repair of failed or damaged components.
- Investigate, inspect, test, and report on RMA's.
- Write technical reports on serviced equipment.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Ensure equipment & tools are functional, calibrated, and available for services delivery.
- Identify and report new business opportunities on site.
- Maintain and encourage appropriate communications and cooperation within Power business, Leadership team, customers, and other divisions/entities.
- Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.

Requirements
- Electrical Engineering qualification.
- Digital solutions experience required (SCADA, PPC, PLC..etc).
- Medium Voltage Field Service Engineer training (Transformers, RMU and Switchgear) preferred.
- HV switching preferred.
- Full Japanese Driver’s License.
- Read & interpret electrical schematics & mechanical diagrams.
- Read & interpret software coding for control systems.
- Strong computer efficiency; Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Strong ERP/CRM tool administrative tasks.
- Previous Schneider Electric product service experience is essential (commissioning and/or troubleshooting capacity).
- Perform electrical preventative and corrective maintenance on PV solar systems.
- Electrical testing or servicing experience preferred.
- Familiar with Voltage Testers, Multi-meters, Current clamps, Oscilloscopes, Voltage Test Procedures, Lock Out- Tag Out, fiber-optics, Electric Static Discharge (ESD), Accumulator Charging etc.
- Familiar with database, control systems, system automation, BMS, SCADA, SQL etc.
- Service business excellence knowledge highly desirable.
- Cross-cultural skill requirements.
- Willing to work closely with R&D Teams located in Asia, America and Europe.
- Japanese language is a must.
- May require stationing near key sites if stated/assigned by Service Contract.
- Interest and Ambition to develop a detailed knowledge of Power Electronics products and Software platforms.
