About the Role

This Project Engineer position in Process Automation in Japan involves technical responsibility for process engineering projects in the Oil & Gas, Power, and other industries. Responsibilities include project specification, design, functionality, testing, commissioning, and after-sales support.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare project specifications to ensure control system meets technical requirements.
• Provide engineered control solutions based on project specifications.
• Oversee hardware selection/specification and control system software development.
• Generate Network Architecture Drawings, Cabinet Drawings, I/O List, Termination List, and Loop Drawings.
• Develop control system Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and its communication.
• Perform system testing and factory acceptance testing, developing test documents.
• Direct system integration, vendor coordination, and control.
• Interface with customers on technical details and provide support.
• Respond to customer technical questions and inquiries promptly.
• Support the proposal team with estimated engineering costs.
• Provide technical support to the sales team.
• Offer technical support to the install base customer.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in the design and engineering of control systems (hardware and software).
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas, Power, and other processes, particularly in Steam Turbine/Gas Turbine/Generator/Compressor applications is advantageous.
• Start-up experience in Oil & Gas, Power, and other processes, especially with Steam Turbine/Gas Turbine/Compressor/Generator.
• Ability to travel when required.
• Ability to work under fast-paced, demanding environments and tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to deal with all levels of associates and customers, both internally and externally.

Skills

• Knowledge of DCS/SIS/PLC systems and HMI Software is advantageous.
