About the Role
Manage Hyperscale Data Center Customer project orders from initiation to closure, ensuring completion on time and within budget. This involves coordinating customer requirements, managing project schedules, monitoring execution, and leading project closeout activities.
Responsibilities
- Validate projects, including technical and commercial elements, serving as the lead customer contact.
- Develop and communicate project schedules, ensuring customer expectations are met.
- Engage directly with third-party vendors.
- Monitor project order execution through kick-off meetings, communication, and technical requirement exchange.
- Perform factory acceptance, site acceptance, and site energization preparation.
- Lead the monitoring and control of project performance throughout its lifecycle.
- Manage task completion, project team performance, and project updates.
- Report on schedules, resolve issues, and administer contracts.
- Lead project closeout, including financial reconciliation and verification of job site activities.
- Solve on-site problems through customer interaction to foster positive relationships.
- Utilize knowledge of Schneider Electric products and project management fundamentals.
- Manage, control, and supervise site activities, including safety assessments and vendor guidance.
- Report to Local and Regional Project Managers, with functional management by the Regional Operations Manager.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- 5-10 years of experience in project management roles.
- Knowledge in Building Automation or a similar field.
- Working experience in Japan and APAC within a Data Center BMS environment.
- Proactive, self-starter, and team player.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in English and Japanese.
- Willingness to travel within or outside of Japan.
- PMP Certified is preferred.
