About the Role

As a Residential Program Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives at our Spring Meadow & Sagamore houses. You will manage all day-to-day operations of the residence, build meaningful relationships, and make a tangible difference.

Responsibilities

  • Handle employment and staffing needs, including hiring, performance evaluations, supervision, and payroll data submission.
  • Maintain knowledge of and implement Emergency Procedures for crisis situations.
  • Train new staff to work with individuals served.
  • Ensure all staff have current certifications (TB, AMAP, CPR, etc.) and provide annual recertification trainings.
  • Maintain staff schedule, run staff meetings, and participate in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings.
  • Write and implement Annual Program Plans, including formal goals and protocols.
  • Participate in the writing and implementation of Behavior Plans and other components of the Annual Plan (medical, nutrition, fitness, socialization, etc.).
  • Evaluate monthly progress and formulate new objectives.
  • Accompany individuals on medical appointments.
  • Complete Operating Checklist and all budgetary processes (petty cash, OTPS, etc.).
  • Manage bookkeeping for individuals (Nami payments, SSI, tax refunds, etc.).
  • Coordinate efforts with Psychology, Nutrition/Fitness, Nursing, Day Hab, Residential, and Service Coordination.
  • Complete and review incident reports and SCIP-R reports, submitting them monthly.
  • Interface with parents and facilitate their involvement in the program plan.
  • Advocate for individuals served and implement new programming ideas based on individual interests.
  • Provide 24-hour on-call support for staffing/emergency problems.
  • Perform all job functions of the community instructor as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, BA/BS preferred.
  • Two years of experience working with developmentally disabled adults.
  • Valid NYS driver’s license.
  • Working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavioral Support.
  • Ability to modify areas to ensure safety by moving/pushing objects up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to lift/move/carry 20 lbs.
  • Ability to run after an individual up to 500 feet.
  • Ability to run to a program in need up to 500 feet.
  • Ability to kneel, twist, and bend.
  • Ability to respond to fire alarms.
  • Ability to perform all physical SCIP techniques.
