About the Role
Picnic is seeking its first Platform Product Manager to own the PIQ data platform, which measures open web quality, powers advertiser products, and generates licensing revenue. This role is crucial for commercializing the platform and driving business growth.
Responsibilities
- Own platform health, setting standards for coverage, freshness, and accuracy.
- Maintain core data acquisition and enhance its defensibility.
- Manage day-to-day data licensing partnerships, ensuring data is live and in use.
- Analyze distribution routes to determine investment priorities.
- Specify new quality signals for advertiser products in collaboration with the Media Solutions team.
- Explore platform growth opportunities, including new revenue streams and partnerships.
- Independently investigate data issues using queries and scripts.
Requirements
- 1-2 years in a product, data, analytics, or technical role.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data interrogation and analysis.
- Experience owning a project or product end-to-end.
- Clarity of thought and structured thinking for decision-making with incomplete information.
- Ability to create order and work independently to solve problems.
- Clear communication skills with engineers, commercial teams, and external partners.
- Genuine interest in how technology and systems function.
- Familiarity with advertising technology is a bonus but not required.
