About the Role
We are seeking an Investment Expert for Beginners to guide Latinx individuals in the US through their first real investment. The goal is to help them overcome fear and confusion, enabling them to open accounts, fund them, purchase their first ETF, and establish a sustainable investment plan.
Responsibilities
- Co-design bootcamp content with the pedagogical team.
- Facilitate live classes with a 100% practical approach.
- Clearly explain how investing in the US works.
- Explain how to choose and open accounts with regulated brokers.
- Explain how to fund accounts and execute orders.
- Explain how to select suitable ETFs for beginners.
- Explain how to build a simple and sustainable portfolio.
- Guide students step-by-step through their first real purchase.
- Guide students step-by-step through implementing Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA).
- Guide students step-by-step through basic automation and rebalancing.
- Address operational, technical, and emotional questions of beginner investors.
- Alert students about common mistakes, risks, and financial scams.
- Participate in feedback sessions and continuous program improvement.
Requirements
- Real and demonstrable experience in the US financial market.
- Understanding of differences between stocks, ETFs, and indices.
- Knowledge of regulated brokers (SEC, FINRA, SIPC).
- Experience with account opening using SSN or ITIN.
- Understanding of order types (market, limit).
- Familiarity with popular ETFs (S&P 500, bonds, dividends, international).
- Experience in building basic portfolios.
- Knowledge of Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) and rebalancing.
- Understanding of beginner investor psychology.
- Knowledge of financial scam prevention.
- Proficiency in digital tools (Zoom, Meet, Slides, Sheets).
- Real experience investing in the US market.
- Personal experience trading ETFs and simple portfolios.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in clear and simple language.
- Pedagogical, empathetic, and action-oriented approach.
- Comfort working with beginners without financial experience.
