About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated sessional ESOL tutors to teach adult learners (19+) on courses ranging from Entry Level to Level 2. Opportunities are available for daytimes, evenings, and Saturdays, supporting students in achieving their goals and entering the workforce. CALAT is committed to reducing tutor workloads for a healthy work/life balance.

Responsibilities

• Teach ESOL courses from Entry Level to Level 2.
• Support students in achieving their goals.
• Support students into work through cross-curriculum programmes.

Requirements

• Qualified in subject with a teaching or training qualification.
• Minimum of Level 3 Award in Education & Training / Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTTLS) or equivalent.
• Demonstrate fully how you meet each criterion in the person specification.
• Include specific examples of relevant experience, skills, and knowledge as evidence in the supporting statement.

• Band 1, Pts 3 to 8 - £25.52 to £32.05 (including holiday pay) per hour.
• Tutors holding the equivalent to a Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training / Certificate in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS), or above, start at Pt 4 - £26.82 (including holiday) per hour.
