About the Role

CALAT is recruiting sessional Functional Skills English tutors for various programmes including short courses and new online fast track programmes from Entry 3 to Level 2. Vacancies are available for daytime, evening, and Saturday sessions. We seek enthusiastic and motivated tutors to teach diverse groups of adult learners (19+) and help them achieve their goals. CALAT is committed to reducing tutor workloads for a better work/life balance without compromising teaching quality.

Responsibilities

Teach Functional Skills English on various programmes.
Teach short courses and online fast track programmes.
Teach Entry 3 to Level 2 levels.
Teach daytime, evening, and Saturday sessions.

Requirements

Must be qualified in the subject taught.
Must hold a teaching or training qualification, Level 3 Award in Education & Training / Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTTLS) or equivalent as a minimum.

Salary/Compensations

Band 1, Pts 3 to 8 - £25.52 to £32.05 (including holiday pay) per hour.
Tutors holding the equivalent to a Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training / Certificate in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS), or above, start at Pt 4 - £26.82 (including holiday) per hour.
