About the Role

Pursuit is seeking a Community Development Associate to own top-of-funnel lead generation, build relationships with community-based organizations, drive marketing and referral channels, and manage applicant volume. This role focuses on execution, community engagement, and data-driven decision-making to expand Pursuit's reach.

Responsibilities

  • Own top-of-funnel volume, driving toward targets for leads, referrals, and applicant starts.
  • Track lead source and channel performance, proactively identifying and addressing underperforming areas.
  • Maintain dashboards and trackers for real-time monitoring of top-of-funnel health.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community-based organizations, workforce development providers, city agencies, and libraries across NYC.
  • Represent Pursuit at community events, workshops, and partner meetings.
  • Identify and cultivate new partnerships to increase program awareness and access.
  • Manage partnership performance, focusing on conversion rates and areas needing attention.
  • Execute paid marketing and referral campaigns to drive top-of-funnel volume.
  • Test and optimize marketing channels based on cost and conversion performance.
  • Coordinate alumni referral efforts and other organic channels to maintain lead flow.
  • Use AI tools to automate routine partnership and lead-generation tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline partnership management and lead tracking processes.
  • Experiment with AI-powered tools to enhance lead generation and partnership development.

Requirements

  • Experience in community outreach, partnerships, marketing, business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Natural relationship-builder who earns trust quickly.
  • Comfortable working with data and dashboards to track and act on performance.
