About the Role
Turner & Townsend is seeking talented Associate Director-level Estimating professionals to join their thriving UK Estimating team. This role involves working on diverse projects and supporting ambitious growth plans within the Infrastructure sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead or manage the production of accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects/programmes.
- Play a leading role in the development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend.
- Play a leading role in the achievement of departmental objectives.
- Stay abreast of developments within own technical area of expertise.
- Work with Directors to construct bids for new work.
- Provide direction to staff working for you and with you on specific tasks.
- Act as a role model for less experienced staff.
- Take a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
- Take responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
- Identify and act upon cross-selling opportunities.
- Staff management (where appropriate).
- Knowledge management.
Requirements
- Proven Estimating Management experience.
- Qualified to a high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience.
- Previous experience of working with estimating software packages.
- Experience of working on Major Programmes and Projects.
- Experience of working in the Infrastructure (Rail, air, power, highways) sector.
- Experience in leading and managing teams.
