About the Role

We have exciting opportunities for Project Controls Managers to make a difference in major infrastructure projects and programmes in London and the South East. These roles suit candidates with proven backgrounds in sectors such as rail, aviation, power, water/utilities, highways, or defence.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Project Controls across infrastructure projects in London.
  • Lead the programme controls function, monitoring accuracy and consistency of plans, cost, safety, environment, and performance reporting.
  • Deploy available controls team resources effectively.
  • Establish and maintain effective control processes in compliance with the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP) and as directed by the Programme Controller.
  • Review new project proposals/remits and monitor for the development of realistic resource plans.
  • Identify resourcing requirements and liaise with planning functions to resolve issues.
  • Provide efficient day-to-day service in reporting on plans, costs, safety, environment, and programme performance.
  • Monitor data input to cost and performance systems to ensure required data standards are met.
  • Manage the production of the Investment Plan in compliance with the Investment Competence Framework.
  • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

Requirements

  • Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and home office.
  • Proficiency with PC operating systems and several basic software applications.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management.

Skills

  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications such as Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes.
