About the Role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Controls Manager with proven rail sector experience to deliver Project Controls across a major rail project in London. This role involves leading the programme controls function, monitoring plans, cost, safety, environment, and performance reporting, and optimizing controls team resources.

Responsibilities

  • Establish effective control processes in compliance with the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP) and as directed by the Programme Controller.
  • Maintain control processes at Territory / Project level.
  • Review new project proposals/remits to ensure realistic and resourceable plans are developed.
  • Identify resourcing requirements and liaise with planning functions to resolve issues.
  • Provide efficient day-to-day service for reporting on plans, costs, safety, environment, and programme performance.
  • Monitor data input to cost and performance systems for adherence to required standards.
  • Manage the production of the Investment Plan at Territory/Project level.
  • Comply with the Investment Competence Framework.
  • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

Requirements

  • Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Proficiency with PC operating systems and basic software applications.
  • Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications such as Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management.
