About the Role

This role is crucial for maintaining the stability and continuity of payment systems by protecting services from impactful failures, minimizing user impact, and ensuring service uptime. You will be responsible for resolving irregular issues, driving automation to enhance productivity, creating useful tools, and potentially acting as a substitute for the operations lead. Collaboration with other departments is key to the maintenance and operation of payment systems, including establishing procedures for routine operations and general incident response.

Responsibilities

Protect payment systems and maintain service continuity by minimizing user impact from failures.
Resolve irregular issues.
Promote automation to increase productivity.
Create useful tools independently.
Act as a substitute for the operations lead when necessary.
Collaborate with other departments to maintain and operate payment systems.
Establish procedures for routine operations, general incident response, and acceptance of new routine tasks.

Requirements

3-5 years of experience as a team leader (individuals looking to challenge a leadership position are also welcome).
Experience in operating mission-critical systems.
Experience in service operations (application-focused).
Experience in streamlining and improving routine tasks.
Ability to oversee the entire team as a leader and be attentive to members.
Proficiency in issue and problem management.
Ability to independently create plans and execute them with team members.
Ability to organize situations during incidents, communicate effectively with others, and collaborate on problem-solving.
Ability to create reports.
Ability to explain concepts logically to customers.
Ability to visualize and quantify work.
Over 5 years of practical experience with Windows and Linux (RH series).
Ability to read simple Shell Scripts.
Ability to read SQL statements.
Basic knowledge of networks (packet capture, security, etc.).
Ability to understand and participate in discussions with the development team regarding WebLogic thread counts, file descriptors, session counts, etc.
