About the Role

GE Grid Solutions is looking for a Software Project Delivery Engineer (DE) to deliver GE Vernova’s Asset Performance Management (APM) & Device Management (DvM) software and services for Transmission & Distribution. The DE will oversee technical project deliveries and act as the interface between the GE Vernova operation central team and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all software deliveries from GE Vernova to the customer/channel partners.
  • Serve as the voice of GE Vernova to interface with the customer for all GE Vernova software solutions.
  • Follow up with all teams (GE Vernova personnel, channel partners, and customers) to deliver required scopes.
  • Oversee on-time delivery, implementation, and quality of design notes and statements of work.
  • Guarantee review and approval of software, Cloud & Hardware delivery, architecture, and implementations.
  • Oversee asset and grid substation modeling and developed software interfaces.
  • Act as the technical owner/coordinator for the technical execution of APM projects.
  • Define project organization, planning, and resources.
  • Support and perform technical tasks when required.
  • Support tendering and demonstration of APM to the customer when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in software engineering/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience/knowledge.
  • 5 years of experience in Software delivery management and/or as a Delivery Engineer/Manager in Software or asset management projects.

Skills

  • Knowledge of Linux/Kubernetes setups
  • Knowledge of Cloud concepts and high-level data-center concepts
  • Excellent Knowledge of Software Deployment, configuration, integration and database interfaces (SQL and/or other), Webservices, ETL, timeseries databases
  • Good Knowledge of data exchange formats: JSON, XML, CSV, YAML
  • Concepts of IoT protocols and webservices: OPC UA/DA, MQTT, Kafka, REST API, gRPC, SNMP, SFTP
  • Knowledge of the electrical communication protocols: IEC-101, IEC-104, DNP3, IEC61850, Modbus
  • Well organized and autonomous
  • Able to work in multi-cultural/ Multi location teams.
  • Teamwork oriented
  • Able to work under matrixial organization.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in software engineering/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience/knowledge

Salary/Compensations

  • $87,000.00 - $145,000.00
  • 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas
