About the Role

Singer Kittredge Equipment Company is part of the largest foodservice equipment and supplies distributor in the mid-Atlantic and New England region. Our branch in Tonawanda, NY is hiring a Warehouse Assistant to join their warehouse team.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble equipment.
• Scan paperwork into shared drive.
• Communicate daily with the contract department.
• Move, stock, receive, and pack outbound warehouse merchandise.
• Follow warehouse safety regulations.
• Assist in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts.
• Operate warehouse equipment as needed to complete tasks.
• Perform work under general supervision.
• Handle moderately complex issues and problems, referring more complex issues to higher-level staff.

Requirements

• Possess 2-4 years of experience working in a warehouse.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and push up to 100lbs.
• Possess a clean driving record.
• Obtain a valid license.
• Pass a DOT Medical and Physical Examination.
• Work a varied work schedule to fulfill delivery of products to customers (dayshift hours but may include early mornings and/or late evenings).
• Provide excellent customer service, time management, and communication skills.
• Have a mechanically inclined mindset.
• Perform basic mechanical actions such as using basic hand tools, basic power tools, climb ladders, among other actions.
• Work well in a team environment with minimal supervision.
