About the Role

Red Hat Consulting is launching an "Advisory Service" to support clients in formulating IT and DX strategies based on their business objectives. We are seeking an IT Strategy Consultant to join as a founding member of this new service. This role goes beyond traditional Red Hat product support, engaging deeply in the upstream processes of system architecture and product selection. We aim to solve client business challenges with a broad perspective, translating them into IT/DX strategies, and fostering long-term partnerships by demonstrating the value of Red Hat products and services. You will be a core member in defining service offerings, methodologies, and go-to-market strategies in Japan.

Responsibilities

Formulate strategies and roadmaps.
Extract business challenges through interviews with executives and department heads.
Develop mid-to-long-term IT roadmaps and technology-based systemization plans.
Focus on "Corporate AI Strategy" and "Legacy Modernization Strategy" formulation.
Conceptualize and drive transformation.
Assess current IT environments (As-Is) and develop future visions (To-Be) based on business challenges.
Promote company-wide Business Process Re-engineering (BPR).
Continuously research the latest IT products and services, proposing optimized solutions.
Achieve consensus and provide execution support.
Gain consensus on IT/DX strategies through discussions with stakeholders.
Create RFPs (Request for Proposals) and support vendor selection.
Provide post-vendor selection PMO support for project success.
Contribute to branding and organizational development.
Articulate and promote the value of Red Hat's technologies and services to clients.
Engage in internal/external presentations and media relations (e.g., press releases).
Act with the passion of an "originator" for Advisory Services, contributing to service infrastructure development.

Requirements

Consulting track record.
Over 10 years of practical experience spanning business consulting to IT solutions.
Over 10 years of experience in communication, proposal, contract acquisition, and relationship maintenance with CXO-level executives.
Experience in initiating numerous IT/DX projects and collaborating with diverse team members.
Expertise and delivery capabilities.
Track record in formulating corporate AI strategies or legacy modernization strategies.
Deep understanding of modern software development and operation processes (e.g., Cloud Native, DevOps).
Project management experience as a PMO.
Deep domain knowledge in specific industries (e.g., manufacturing, telecommunications, finance, government).
Mindset and language proficiency.
Possess both logical thinking and creative thinking that impresses clients.
Empathy from the client's perspective and insight to quickly grasp business challenges.
Communication skills to understand Red Hat's culture and collaborate smoothly with internal members.
Native level Japanese proficiency.
Knowledge/experience with Red Hat products and open-source software (OSS).
Deep understanding of Agile development.
Excellent presentation and people management skills.
Business level English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking).
