About the Role

Red Hat is launching a new consulting practice focused on AI-Driven Development to accelerate the modernization of Japanese enterprises. This role is a technical leadership position responsible for defining technical standards, architecting solutions, and providing advanced technical guidance in collaboration with Red Hat consultants and strategic partners. The mission is to build and promote a "technical practice" that deeply integrates AI technologies into development and migration processes, dramatically increasing the efficiency of traditional modernization.

Responsibilities

  • Define technical practices and standardize engineering processes, including technical pipelines and standard delivery practices for modernization incorporating AI-driven development tools.
  • Ensure technical consistency and create guidelines for migrating legacy assets (COBOL, Java, etc.) to modern architectures (cloud-native, microservices).
  • Transfer defined technical practices to Red Hat consultants and strategic partner engineers.
  • Conduct advanced skill transfer through hands-on sessions, prototyping, and technical demonstrations.
  • Plan training programs to apply the latest AI technology trends to actual projects.
  • Monitor the technical quality of deliveries provided by partners and visualize/manage enablement progress from a technical proficiency perspective.
  • Continuously improve practices technically based on field feedback.

Requirements

  • Over 20 years of experience in core system development, with experience in designing and implementing large-scale core systems and a deep understanding of mission-critical requirements.
  • Over 5 years of experience in modernization, with lead experience in replatforming, refactoring, and rearchitecting projects, particularly with expertise in technical challenges of cloud migration.
  • Over 3 years of experience in AI-driven development, with practical experience in introducing AI and automation into development processes, and knowledge of prompt engineering and AI-based code generation/testing.
  • Deep understanding of modern software development and operation processes (Cloud Native, DevOps, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of the latest AI technology trends, including the technical constraints and possibilities of applying generative AI and LLMs in an enterprise context at an implementation level.
