About the Role

Gain valuable experience in audit or tax, working on client engagements, and developing your skillset alongside senior staff and management. Internships are available in assurance, tax, or a combination, and can be part-time or full-time.

Responsibilities

• Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
• Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns
• Calculate tax extension or estimate payments
• Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers

Requirements

• Solid technical accounting knowledge
• Effective time management
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills preferred, including Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
• Problem-solving attitude
• Willingness to take initiative
• Close attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines
• Intern candidates must be working toward CPA Exam eligibility
• Satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework is expected
• Maintain a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0
• Must have reliable transportation to and from your assigned office and be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
