About the Role

The Public Sector Strategy & Consulting team is working on high-profile transformations across UK government and healthcare sectors. You will work on innovative projects, driving excellence from strategy through implementation, making changes that directly impact citizens using the latest technologies and methodologies to achieve tangible outcomes and accelerate value. Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver solutions to real-world problems, partnering with clients for positive outcomes through collaboration.
  • Maximize the use of data to drive solutions and tell meaningful stories to clients.
  • Lead with user-centricity at the heart of work.
  • Drive value for clients.
  • Work on projects across a range of public sector clients, including central government departments, the NHS, arms lengths bodies, private health clients, research and regulatory, and integrated care systems.
  • Act as the client-facing representative for Accenture, working with senior stakeholders to advise, challenge, and coach.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of client businesses and drive issue-based discussions grounded in client challenges.
  • Cultivate trust-based client relationships.
  • Identify and address client business issues through root cause analysis and pragmatic, results-driven problem-solving techniques.
  • Use a human-centered approach to solve problems, frame opportunities, and achieve innovation through collaboration and co-creation.
  • Own streams of complex work, delivering value-centric, data-driven outcomes that meet client expectations.
  • Operate at all stages of a project/programme lifecycle, from proposal to full programme delivery.
  • Manage risks and work with senior client partners.

Requirements

  • Willingness to undergo a Security Clearance process, requiring at least 5 years of UK residency and no more than 30 consecutive days spent outside the UK.

  • Experience working with public sector clients (government departments or health & care clients).
  • Experience driving new business (strategy, relationships, growth opportunities).
  • Experience in project & programme management methodologies and governance (e.g., PRINCE/MSP).
  • Experience delivering projects using Agile techniques and frameworks.
  • Ability to lead Agile teams.
  • In-depth understanding of specific government or healthcare landscapes.
  • Experience with data science or data architecture.
  • Experience owning and managing relationships with leadership (clients or internal stakeholders).
  • Trained in Agile methodologies, programme or project management techniques (e.g., Prince 2, Managing Successful Programmes) and/or a Design Thinking practitioner.
  • Experience using data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik).
  • Exposure to a current technology (e.g., Cloud platform, CRM platform).
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
