About the Role

Bloomsbury Football Foundation is dedicated to transforming young people's lives through football, ensuring universal access to play and delivering programs that foster development both on and off the pitch. The Lead Coach is pivotal in this mission, responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, impactful sessions for ages 4-18 across various programs. Success requires an experienced coach with a UEFA C qualification, a commitment to inclusive coaching, and the ability to build strong relationships as a trusted adult in a young person's life.

Responsibilities

Plan and lead the delivery of regular coaching sessions across Communities and Special Projects programmes.
Create engaging, age-appropriate, and inclusive session plans that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
Deliver high-quality coaching reflecting the organization's dedication to purpose, belonging, and progression.
Build and maintain positive relationships with young people, parents, partners, and venue staff.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and other stakeholders.
Represent Bloomsbury Football Foundation professionally.
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of coaching quality and program delivery.
Bring creativity and innovative ideas to sessions and the coaching team.
Be proactive and engaged with the organization's offerings.
Uphold the organization's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Maintain up-to-date safeguarding and first aid certification.
Work flexibly and professionally across different settings and venues.

Requirements

UEFA C coaching qualification or equivalent.
Up-to-date Safeguarding and First Aid certificates.
Experience working with children and young people in a sporting or educational setting.
Ability to work across multiple venues and settings in Central London.
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends (up to 6 days per week).
The right to live and work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not provided).
Experience delivering inclusive or specialist football provision (desirable).
Experience working in a charity or social enterprise (desirable).
UEFA B or above qualification (desirable).
