About the Role
Modern Snack Bar, a historic family-owned restaurant, is seeking a professional and personable Remote Front Desk Receptionist to manage reservations and inquiries for their Aquebogue location, ensuring high standards of customer service are maintained remotely.
Responsibilities
- Manage all incoming telephone calls and email inquiries promptly, courteously, and professionally.
- Handle customer reservations, modifications, and cancellations efficiently using the digital booking system.
- Provide accurate information to guests regarding menu, opening hours, special events, and location.
- Liaise effectively with on-site restaurant staff for seamless communication and a smooth guest experience.
- Uphold the restaurant's commitment to outstanding customer service in every interaction.
- Address customer feedback professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Perform general administrative duties to support restaurant operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a customer-facing role (receptionist, customer service representative, administrative assistant).
- Experience within the hospitality or restaurant industry is highly desirable.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a clear and professional telephone manner.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency with reservation software and standard office applications.
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and reliably in a remote setting.
- Must have a dedicated, quiet workspace and a stable, high-speed internet connection.
