About the Role
The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for providing a premier shopping experience for guests at The Shop at Windham Mountain Club, a multi-seasonal specialty retailer.
Responsibilities
- Develop knowledge of all shop merchandise to better identify and serve guests needs.
- Accurately operate POS systems for retail transactions.
- Assist in the monitoring and control of all inventory of merchandise.
- Proactively address all customer needs and questions.
- Perform various shop maintenance and housekeeping duties.
- Maintain knowledge of the ski area, programs, events, daily snow conditions and any other information that aids in communication with guests.
Requirements
- Must be comfortable interacting with both staff and guests in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Must be able to handle a stressful, noisy and crowded work environment.
- Must maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Have knowledge of retail sales.
- Have sufficient math skills.
- Must be able to use basic computer systems and POS software.
- Must be able to stand for the entire work shift.
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours.
- Ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, including snow and ice covered surfaces.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
- Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly.
