About the Role

Our production unit offers top-tier luxury airline catering, focusing on exceptional quality, first-class service, and an exquisite range of menu options to create a unique experience for discerning passengers.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and supervise daily manpower planning in the Dishroom department.
  • Train and monitor employees on proper work procedures to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Collaborate with management staff to improve unit performance.
  • Manage workflow by balancing the division of responsibilities amongst employees on each shift.
  • Maintain all financial goals related to productivity, overtime, labor goals, and hours.
  • Work with maintenance staff to ensure preventive maintenance of machinery according to schedules and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Conduct inventory of products and customer materials to ensure proper usage and minimize waste.
  • Ensure employees adhere to HACCP, FDA, USDA, and safety regulations, and comply with company policies.
  • Strategically manage the team, ensuring development, direction, and meaningful feedback.
  • Plan production in accordance with the daily schedule and oversee all activities in the production area.
  • Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of working areas for auditing purposes.
  • Provide reports on productivity and other performance indicators to management.
  • Take responsibility for actions, support the team, and celebrate successes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or within a fresh food industry related sector is preferred.
  • Current or previous labor relations experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Passion for high-end cuisine, love for food, and motivation to deliver exceptional service.
  • Well-presented, professional individual with a can-do, positive attitude.
  • Ability to be a positive change champion, identifying key impact areas and priorities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and data-driven with the ability to influence and educate.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, mentor and motivate, and create team spirit.
  • Clear and engaging communicator with strong written and verbal English.
  • Flexible thinking, efficient decision-making, and ability to handle change.
  • Great understanding and working knowledge of the whole unit, with a hands-on approach to improvement.
  • Highly proficient in Excel with excellent working knowledge of reporting.
