About the Role
The Coordinator, Business Development supports and plays a key role in advancing Paul Hastings’ business development and marketing initiatives for the Private Equity practice group and other corporate practice areas. This role focuses on producing high-quality pitches and RFP responses, and supports strategic marketing and profile-raising activities.
Responsibilities
- Draft and produce high-quality pitches, proposals and RFP responses.
- Track deal and pitch flow and log experience.
- Develop and maintain marketing materials, including slide library, practice descriptions, website content, attorney biographies and experience lists.
- Draft submissions for legal and industry directories, awards and rankings.
- Work on media relations, editorial projects, design and digital marketing initiatives.
- Plan and execute client events and maintain key contact mailing lists.
- Assist with the management of key industry sponsorships and partnerships.
- Conduct research on clients, prospects and competitors.
- Build knowledge of Firm practice areas to support marketing strategies.
- Stay current on industry and client news and proactively flag relevant developments.
- Maintain the team's activity tracker and identify ways to streamline team processes.
- Organize team folders and databases.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A foundational understanding of private equity is a plus, but not required; a genuine interest in the space and eagerness to learn is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including attention to detail and proofreading.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new tools as needed.
- Understanding of how business development and marketing support attorneys and client relationships in a law firm setting.
- Working knowledge of marketing principles and how they apply in a professional services context.
- Experience with CRM and matter-management systems (preferred).

Salary/Compensations
- Minimum of $64,000
- Maximum of $79,500 annually
