About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a newly established engineering team responsible for delivering Unity platform support for an Android-based ecosystem. The team's primary objective is to enable Unity developers to seamlessly deploy titles across mobile, laptop, and hybrid devices, leveraging their unique hardware and software capabilities. The team will also focus on researching and implementing runtime optimizations to improve startup performance and execution efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop features and workflows in the Unity Editor to support specific platform configurations.
- Profile, analyze, and identify optimization opportunities across the technology stack, collaborating cross-team to develop solutions.
- Author comprehensive technical documentation and actively participate in design review processes.
- Ensure platform stability by investigating and resolving bug reports.
- Strengthen quality and delivery through automated testing and thoughtful code reviews.
- Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Solid background in Android systems programming.
- Advanced proficiency in C++, C#, and Java/Kotlin.
- Experience in building and maintaining platform or runtime systems.
- Solid understanding of how large applications span languages, including synchronous/asynchronous calls and memory management.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable feature sets in a large multithreaded codebase.
- Diagnostic, debugging, and performance profiling competencies.
- Sufficient knowledge of English for professional verbal and written exchanges.
