About the Role

Unity is seeking an exceptional Documentation Manager to lead the Platforms & Ecosystems documentation team. This role involves transforming the documentation creation lifecycle to be AI-first, redesigning the technical writer function, and building a living knowledge system for both humans and AI agents.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Unity Platforms documentation team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Align team priorities with engineering and product roadmaps.
• Redesign the documentation creation cycle to be AI-first, utilizing generative AI for drafting, review, gap analysis, and maintenance.
• Direct the team's work in building and maintaining AI "skills" for AI assistants.
• Stay updated on AI advancements and ensure processes and roles remain performant and competitive.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver content effectively.

Requirements

• 8+ years in technical writing, developer documentation, or content strategy.
• 4+ years of people management experience.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI tools, automation, and content workflows.
• Proven track record of leading a documentation or content team through major process or tooling transformation.
• Ability to define metrics and quality frameworks.
• Ability to influence senior engineering/product stakeholders.
• Sufficient knowledge of English for professional verbal and written exchanges.

• Canada Zone B: $116,300 – $166,300 CAD gross
