About the Role

Operate and maintain machinery and equipment for loading and unloading ethanol, distillers grains, and corn. Responsibilities include weighing and grading raw materials and final products, ensuring quality specifications are met, and completing all related records.

Responsibilities

• Ensure grain meets acceptable quality and specifications, rejecting non-compliant shipments.
• Load and unload ethanol, distiller's grains, and other products via railcar and truck in a timely manner.
• Complete all records related to products loaded for shipment.
• Submit work requests when appropriate.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas.
• Stay current on the status of all operating equipment.
• Maintain rolling stock (loaders, track mobile, skid steer, fuel loader) by checking fluid levels, greasing, lubricating, and re-fueling.
• Inspect rolling stock for defects, cracks, breaks, tires, etc., according to schedule and document results.
• Communicate mechanical problems to the maintenance department.
• Grease and check oil levels on rolling stock equipment per schedule and document.
• Keep the plant in a tour-ready condition at all times.
• Communicate frequently with the grain grader and operations department.
• Proficiently and accurately grade all incoming corn samples using manual and automated equipment.
• Weigh all trucks entering and leaving the plant and direct them courteously.
• Enter customer and product data into grain receiving software.
• Communicate with the Production Department to ensure timely unloading of received products.
• Keep the area around truck scales, scale house, and inside scale room clean and presentable.
• Assist with process chemical inventory tracking and ordering.
• Schedule delivery of process chemicals with external suppliers.
• Review chemical COA's against facility standards and communicate issues.
• Review, improve, and develop standard operating procedures for safe and compliant operations.
• Participate in safety programs and ongoing training.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be hard-working and self-motivated.
• Ability to greet customers in a friendly manner.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work with all levels of staff.
• Excellent Microsoft Office software skills.
• Exemplify high standards to accomplish company goals.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable regulatory state and USDA requirements.
• Previous experience in grain receiving and grading.
• Detail-oriented; proficiency for accuracy; dependable; positive attitude; team player.
• Ability to multi-task and take ownership of assigned projects.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in industrial production plants helpful.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable regulatory requirements of FRA, TTB and state regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and maintain ongoing work authorization without employer sponsorship.
