About the Role

As an Asset Manager, you'll help shape the physical future of Kensington and Chelsea, ensuring residents have safe, comfortable, and high-quality homes. This role involves diving deep into the property portfolio, turning data into improvements, and collaborating with communities, contractors, and internal teams to build a fairer, safer borough.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure housing and commercial portfolios are safe, sustainable, and fit for the future.
  • Champion high standards and interrogate stock condition data to shape long-term investment plans and lifecycle replacement programs.
  • Monitor compliance and keep critical projects on track by working closely with contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Guide the wider Asset Management Strategy, shaping capital programs, building safety works, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Integrate requirements for energy, fire safety, and resident safety across all programs.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with residents, tenants, and contractors to ensure excellent technical outcomes and improve satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in asset management, building surveying, construction project management, or a related property discipline.
  • Ideally, a background in regulated housing or the public sector.
  • Sharp ability to manipulate large asset datasets and translate complex building information into clear, practical investment choices.
  • Strong grasp of compliance and building safety.
  • Comfortable navigating asset databases and collaborating across diverse teams.
  • Adaptable, proactive communicator who knows how to listen, build trust with stakeholders, and coordinate complex programs with great attention to detail.
  • Belief in putting communities first.
  • Ready to bring respect, integrity, and collaborative energy to everything you do.

  • New hires will start at the minimum of the advertised salary range.
