About the Role
The Concession Manager plays a key role in achieving store standards by leading by example, embracing an entrepreneurial spirit, and inspiring their teams through passion and belief in our brands. Stores are the main touch points with consumers and act as a window to our great brands, requiring first-class experience and unquestionable in-store standards.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Area Manager to build on business opportunities and achieve Company standards/goals, including sales and wage budgets, sales per hour (SPH), units per transaction (UPT), conversion (hit) rate, wage and expense control, shrinkage, mystery shops, store audits, and profitability.
- Identify opportunities and collaborate with others to grow the business or improve performance.
- Foster a positive store experience by treating all customers and staff members fairly and consistently.
- Perform Manager-on-duty functions, manage store opening/closing, and oversee the sales floor.
- Ensure "door to floor" best practices, visual merchandising directives, and standards for sales floor and back room are executed, continually reviewing standards for clear and consistent execution.
- Manage daily sales, payroll, controllable expenses, goals, and company initiatives, aligning activities to meet business goals.
- Analyze store-level reports and create action plans to improve results.
- Lead weekly management and other staff meetings, and participate in regional meetings.
- Set challenging but attainable goals with an emphasis on service quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Coordinate appropriate action plans while considering consequences and budget decisions.
- Communicate daily with staff on individual sales goals, key performance indicators, product sales, and other information to help them provide unparalleled service and achieve goals.
- Assist with manpower planning, identification, recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and orientation processes, recruiting store personnel with diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds.
- Own the training and development of employees, ensuring all employees are properly oriented and trained in their roles.
- Provide and document training and coaching for employees on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in connecting to consumers in a brand retailer is essential.
- Experience with retail operations, budgeting, planning, sales, and people management.
- Previous people management experience and ability to act with purpose to resolve conflict and unproductive disagreements.
- Effective communicator with the ability to cultivate belonging.
- Ability to collaborate to win and recognize/celebrate contributions and achievements of others.
- Courageous in giving feedback that promotes positive behavioral change.
- Ability to adapt fast and work with pace.
- Energetic with a clear presence on the shop floor, inspiring trust.
