Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance duties, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repairs.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment, lighting, water conditioning systems, and other scheduled equipment.
- Provide courtesy services for new residents, such as hanging pictures, setting up electronic equipment, and installing fixtures.
- Perform pool maintenance according to DOH requirements.
- Transport trash and recyclables to designated pick-up areas daily.
- Escort and assist contractors during periodic inspections and maintenance.
- Set up and break down furniture and equipment for scheduled activities and programs.
- Order parts and materials, and manage inventory.
- Maintain all tools, equipment, vehicles, and supplies in proper condition.
- Attend assigned in-service training and education sessions.
- Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements
- Must be HVAC certified.
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent certificate of completion.
- Have three to five years of experience in construction/building trades, facility maintenance, refinishing, and remodeling.
- Proficient with hand tools and power tools.
- Hold a valid NYS driver's license.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Willingness to embrace and exemplify St. John's Brand Characteristics.
