About the Role
Works under the direction of the RN/Health Coordinator, assisting residents in adapting to the facility routine and encouraging participation in recovery-focused activities.
Responsibilities
- Orients new residents to the facility and aids adjustment to community living without alcohol/drugs.
- Monitors facility to ascertain resident activities and general status.
- Initiates appropriate action to ensure resident and facility safety and wellbeing.
- Schedules outside medical appointments.
- Assists with the medical portion of resident admissions.
- Monitors residents during MAT treatments in the medical department.
- Checks residents identified as needing monitoring due to physical and/or emotional difficulties, taking appropriate action and documenting findings.
- Provides crisis intervention counseling to residents as needed and documents sessions.
- Completes resident incident/accident or medical emergency forms.
- Answers phones.
- Meets regularly with RN/Health Coordinator for supervision.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by RN/Health Coordinator.
