About the Role

Provide technical oversight of bridge and structure construction projects, including reviewing contractor submittals, overseeing construction inspectors, and ensuring quality assurance for structures like bridges and retaining walls. Perform independent reviews of submittals, develop elevations, and conduct structures-related surveying. Report to the project director.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight of bridge and structure construction projects.
• Review and accept contractor submittals related to structures.
• Oversee construction inspectors.
• Ensure quality assurance of structure work, including bridges, retaining walls, and other structures.
• Perform independent reviews of structures-related submittals (falsework, excavation shoring, prestressing, piling).
• Develop bridge deck, soffit, and column elevations.
• Perform structures-related surveying, including grading bridge decks.
• Coordinate with the contractor, construction inspectors, and document project progress.
• Maintain accurate records of structures construction site activities.
• Provide required technical reports.
• Provide guidance to structures inspectors and materials testers.
• Collaborate with other engineers and inspectors, including the Resident Engineer and project design engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum of ten years of building construction management experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments with potential exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazards, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water.
• Physical demands may include frequent talking, hearing, standing, moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, balancing, coordination, and occasional sitting or operating a company vehicle.
• May require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
• Successful completion of applicable pre-employment substance screening and background checks.

• $110,000 to $200,000
