About the Role

As a Fitness Manager with The Gym Group, you will support the General Manager in the successful running of the gym and will deputise in their absence. You will be passionate about fitness and keen to embrace our members, our teams and embed our culture. You will embody our company values, supporting and encouraging others to do the same.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for member engagement by leading in-gym service offering to drive member satisfaction scores.
• Line management and leadership of fitness trainers, engaging and motivating them and role modelling company values.
• Ownership of Group Exercise offering by developing the class timetable and upskilling the team.
• Drive the commercial performance of the gym with a result-driven mindset.
• Ensure high operational standards are met through effective management of cleaning and maintenance procedures, including liaising with 3rd party suppliers.
• Ensure full compliance with company Health & Safety policies and completion of daily, weekly, and monthly checks.
• Support the GM with onsite admin tasks including rotas, time tracking, and security checks.
• Act as a keyholder for the gym in support of the GM, serving as a point of contact in emergencies.
• Opportunity to undertake personal training around employed hours, managing your own business and retaining 100% of earnings with no annual license fee.

Requirements

• Passion for health, fitness, well-being, and all-round excellence.
• Ability to lead teams from the front and by example, setting the standard for member experience.
• Unwavering commitment to understanding member expectations.
• Ability to work within compliance parameters while delivering high service levels.
• Proven track record of success and a winning attitude.
• Level 2 qualified Fitness Instructor or currently studying for the qualification.
