About the Role
Brookfield Real Estate Group is seeking an Analyst to join its European Living and Hospitality Real Estate team in London. The Analyst will manage existing investments, work with portfolio companies, and assist with strategic decision-making, investment activities, and reporting. This role offers exposure to high-profile transactions and senior leadership across Europe.
Responsibilities
- Manage assets/portfolios across the investment life cycle in collaboration with colleagues and portfolio company management teams.
- Build and maintain complex financial models, including cash flow forecasts and valuations.
- Assess the impact of strategic and operational decisions on asset and portfolio returns.
- Prepare investor materials, including quarterly reporting packs and presentations.
- Assist in the preparation and review of internal fund reporting.
- Support investment management colleagues on transactions such as acquisitions, financings, refinancings, and dispositions.
- Attend monthly portfolio company performance meetings and quarterly board meetings, preparing supporting materials.
- Draft investment committee memorandums and present investment recommendations.
- Conduct market research and maintain industry data for living and hospitality sectors.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in real estate investing, private equity, investment banking, M&A, or a related central function at a real estate platform.
- Excellent analytical, financial modelling, and valuation skills, with a focus on real estate and/or corporate aspects.
- Existing knowledge of hospitality and/or living real estate operations and capital markets in Europe.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of another European language is an advantage (preferably French, German, Spanish, Greek, or Italian).
- Strong project planning and self-management skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
