About the Role

Allied Universal is seeking a flexible and dependable Armed Security Officer for part-time enhanced positions in Austin, TX. This role offers a fixed schedule with the opportunity to earn more by picking up additional shifts, providing a sense of purpose and contributing to a positive impact on communities and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, store associates, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for security-related concerns such as suspicious activity, unauthorized access, theft-related incidents, and hazards; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a professional armed presence while complying with applicable laws, site policies, and Allied Universal procedures.

Requirements

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience or 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
